Engine ChatChat started in 2007 in the kitchen of Elizabeth Murton, as an informal place to discuss work and get feedback from other artists. It is an opportunity for artists of any discipline to focus on the ideas, content and context of their work. It is a small informal group with opportunities to present or just join the discussion.

Engine ChatChat is currently hosted at Core Gallery, Deptford and has branched out to MotorMouth Bristol, where the groups will continue to provide informal and constructive discussion across cities. Please see individual pages about BOOKING.

This blog will provide a space to continue discussion and cross cities with ideas.

Please feel free to contribute to discussions via the SUBMIT page and see previous posts on the ARCHIVE page.

This is the First event in a collaborative series between Engine Chat Chat and its new Sister Group MotorMouth.

Engine Chat Chat is run by London based Goldsmiths Graduate Elizabeth Murton, it is a peer crit group where artists developing their work can go to get critical feedback on their work. Motor Mouth has been set up in Bristol by fellow Goldsmiths Graduate Poppy Pitt as a sister group to Engine Chat Chat, with the aim to encourage collaboration between Bristol and London artists as well as opportunities to present work in both London and Bristol . We intend to set up on-line forums between the two groups to encourage continued contact and dialogue so watch this space!
